Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

photo 1

I love mason jars! I like using them for many different purposes. We have mason jars all over our house as storage containers, drinking jars, vases etc. One of the cutest uses it definitely a soap dispenser and it’s so easy!

We were using just a regular clear plastic Softsoap soap dispenser in our bathroom, so I just replaced it with a mason jar! I took the hand pump off of the Softsoap and tossed the soap container portion. With a 1/4″ drill bit I drilled a hole in the center of the mason jar lid. Be sure to drill through the lid with the top facing up; you’ll want any sharp edges going down into the jar. Stick the hand-pump through the newly cut hole. Caulk or hot glue in place. Add some soap to the jar, screw on the top and you’re done! Now that was easy, wasn’t it? And it’ll look adorable in your bathroom or next to your kitchen sink.

What you’ll need:
– old soap dispenser handpump (softsoap plastic ones are fine)
– mason jar
– drill with 1/4: drill bit
– hot glue or caulk
